Skill commandments are like guiding lights. They keep us in check with reality, and if they are not followed, you risk outcomes like wasted time, SAPA, and frustration.
How do you know if what you’re learning is best for you?
Commandment of time: The skill shouldn’t take too long to learn. Ideally, 3-6 months
Commandment of entry: The skill should not be too hard to learn.
Commandment of age: The skill should stand the test of time. If the skill has been profitable for the last 10 years, there’s a chance it will be for the next 10.
Commandment of trend: The skill should not be marketed like pepper online. If people do tiktok dances with it, there’s a high chance it’s a waste of time.
Commandment of AI: The most important of them all. The skill should not be easily automated. It needs to have a layer of complexity that requires human interaction and strategy.
