As I get older, I begin to draw out patterns in how people go from zero to one.
I’ve seen a lot of average people beat my expectations of what’s possible. I’ve seen amazing people be a shadow of themselves. I’ve also seen average and amazing people turn out exactly as I had imagined.
Before you say, Who am I to think some people are average or amazing? I'll refute by saying - do you ever go a day in your life without evaluating people? It’s part of being human.
One thing is clear - overthinking is the biggest killer of dreams, not laziness. A lot of people are stuck because they dwell on micro-decisions in their lives, while a normie just does what needs to be done.
No matter how average you think you are in your circle of friends, you can be in the top 1% of talents in the world if you simply set a learning roadmap and follow through. I don’t care if it’s advanced maths or rocket science - as long as you show up every day, as planned, you’ll be the best at it.
Don’t take an IQ test. It’s fake and a waste of time.
Instead, be curious and obsessed. And you’ll win.
Stay focused.
