I’m a big fan of documentation. I document my ideas, plans, shower/restroom moments and life plans. It’s important to make a habit of saving ideas because your brain can handle so much at a time.
The tool I use is called Obsidian. With obsidian, you can create folders that cut across multiple areas of your life. You can zoom in and out to see what’s happening, what has happened and what will happen. It’s also a great tool for research. You can link files to each other and even use hashtags to make things easy to find.
If you’re technical, you can even link your notes to github so you can pull your entire second brain from any device and anywhere in the world. Ensure to make the repository private, so it’s not public. Also, don’t write down things you'd be too embarrassed to be seen by other people. You can get a secret journal for that.

Stay focused.
